Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Workstak, our curation process, and how the marketplace works.

Workstak is a curated marketplace for workflow tools. Every tool listed on the platform has been manually vetted by our team and is bundled with a step-by-step native workflow guide and playbook that shows you exactly how to deploy the tool in your business. We exist because most people buy software and never use it. We're here to fix that.

Three fundamental differences. First, curation over volume — we don't list everything. Every tool goes through a manual review process and most applicants don't make the cut. Second, native workflow guides and playbooks — every listing must include step-by-step workflows, prompts, or templates to ensure zero shelfware. Third, founder-friendly economics — we take 0% commission (it's 100% free for partners), not 70%. Because we run on a buyer-paid subscription model, we align our incentives with building the best experience for operators while letting founders keep 100% of their revenue.

A native playbook is a practical, step-by-step guide bundled with every tool on Workstak. Depending on the tool, it might include workflow walkthroughs, ready-to-use system prompts or templates, integration blueprints, or video tutorials. The goal is simple: you should be able to go from purchase to production in under 10 minutes.

Workstak is built for operators and knowledge workers who need to scale output without scaling headcount. That typically means technical solopreneurs building one-person businesses, lean agencies looking to replace bloated SaaS stacks, and growth-stage founders who want to deploy tools quickly. If you're looking for the cheapest possible software deal regardless of quality, this probably isn't the right place.

It is our curation ethos and commitment to zero shelfware. It means every tool on our platform is vetted for real-world utility, and every listing includes the native workflow guide and playbook to deploy it immediately. It is our promise that you're buying a functional solution, not just a software license.

Every tool goes through our "Operator Review." We evaluate each submission on Time-to-Value (how quickly can a buyer get results), Defensibility (does the tool have proprietary value), Integration Depth (does it fit into real workflows), and UX Quality (is it well-built and maintained). We only accept tools that meet our threshold.

You don't purchase tools directly on Workstak. Instead, you join our premium Buyers' Club ($99/yr) to unlock exclusive partner discounts. Once you're a member, you can claim one-time promo codes from your dashboard to complete your purchase directly on the partner's site. Alternatively, guests can use our provided link or affiliate link (if available) to purchase directly at retail pricing.

We offer a refund window on purchases. If a tool doesn't work as described or you're unable to achieve the outcomes outlined in the playbook, you can request a refund within the specified period. We review each request individually to ensure fairness for both buyers and partners. The specific refund window is noted on each listing.
